On May 19, 2024, the now-bankrupt data broker company National Public Data (nationalpublicdata.com) suffered a breach by the threat actors SXUL and EquationCorp/USDoD. This incident resulted in the compromise of ~70,324,592 American criminal records. Initially, the compromised data was shared privately, but it was later released to the public for free by EquationCorp/@USDoD. The compromised data includes full names, known aliases, dates of birth, physical addresses, sentences, arrest and conviction dates, and more, with records reportedly dating from 2020 to 2024.

Note: The hacker known as USDoD was arrested on October 16, 2024, by Brazil's Federal Police in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. He was arrested less than two months after being publicly identified (doxed) by Crowdstrike. RIP and thank you for everything, @USDoD !

Compromised data: Aliases, Arrest and conviction dates, Dates of birth, Genders, Names, Races, Physical addresses, Physical attributes, Sentences.
