I would say Python or C++ because they both us OOP (object oriented programing), actually @DrazielNyx was doing something similar and had a great thread documenting the progression, I recommend doing something like that so you and the community can see your progress. Taking that approach will be more rewarding then learning alone.

Most Definitely, @viceCoolMan and other users are pretty good at giving suggestions on what to do or where to start. And with a lot of different coders on here, getting help for a problem you can't solve or tips and tricks with your code will be really easy to find.
