got one for 50 bucks with kali linux and abunch of tools already downloaded on it

It's older, but nice.
I would recommend Corebooting it.

I would recommend Corebooting it.

If you don't want to risk corebooting your T430 I'd recommend applying this instead: https://1vyra.in, it removes the WLAN whitelist, somewhat disables Intel ME and much more.
