The loophole is a tax on earnings, which CEO's etc make themselves earn a dollar a year to avoid income tax. It's wealth that should be taxed, not just income.

I think taxing the ultra-wealthy just makes them move their money and business into countries with lower taxes - because they have the cash to do so. Then you have to tax the everyman even more to make up for the difference. It's a difficult problem to tackle. But, of course, taxes are universally hated. I don't think they go towards the things that matter, at least here in the West.
