How do Instagram follower services get their bot accounts?

Most likely automated account registrations using a CAPTCHA solving API, or hijacking (most likely abandoned) accounts

they use the instagram internal app api, with shit tons of proxies and emails (that's another service they have to generate accounts for on top of that)

I believe they just first go through Instagram cookie checkers and then make a list of working ones and create a program to follow someone, on all of those accounts that they found valid cookies for.
